Ickesburg is a small community located in Perry County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is situated in the northern part of the county and is part of the Harrisburg-Carlisle Metropolitan Statistical Area. According to the 2010 U.S. Census, the population of Ickesburg was 163.
The area was first settled in the early 1800s and named after John Ickes, a local landowner. The community was known for its agriculture and lumber industries in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Today, it is primarily a residential community with a few small businesses.
Ickesburg is home to the Little Buffalo State Park, which offers hiking, fishing, and camping opportunities. The community also has a community center, playground, and a volunteer fire department.
